Shoreline Offroad Hex6 Pro headlight glowing amber on a Jeep, with blog cover text asking whether Hex6 Pro headlights need brackets on JL, JT, and JK models

Do Hex6 Pro headlights need brackets on a JL?

Yes. If you drive a JL, JLU, or Gladiator JT, you need the adapter brackets for the Hex6 Pro headlights. If you drive a JK or JKU, you do not.

The Hex6 Pro is a 7-inch round LED headlight. It fits Jeep Wrangler JK (2007-2018), JL (2018-present), and JT Gladiator (2020-present) models, with one difference in how it mounts. JK and JKU models take it with no bracket needed. JL, JLU, and JT models need the Hex6 Pro adapter brackets, which are made for 7-inch round headlights and come with the headlights when your Jeep needs them.

What you get is the same headlight either way. Each Hex6 Pro uses 20 high-output 6W LEDs for up to 6,000 lumens, with four lighting modes: turn signals, DRL, low beam, and high beam. The amber DRL and integrated turn signal are built in, and the housing is IP67 rated against dust and water.
